PDR Tools and Solutions

At AMT, we focus on delivering software solutions for the automotive recon professional. The software you use to manage your day-to-day work, teams, customers, and back-office administration is as important a tool and any whale-tail, tap-hammer, hail rod or glue-pull in your kit. That said, we do try to keep up with the more traditional tool vendors and manufacturers who focus on providing mechanical solutions to PDR challenges.

PDR is the manipulation of material to restore the original shape and exterior appearance of a damaged vehicle. Specialized tools and equipment are employed to perform the work. Over the years, toolmakers and technicians have partnered to develop all types and varieties of PDR tools to effect the best possible repair outcomes.

There are many companies that make physical tools and equipment for PDR practitioners. Perhaps the largest single gathering of these companies is at the annual Mobile Tech Expo event in Orlando, a trade show for automotive repair professionals, and focusing on PDR, S.M.A.R.T. Repair, and Auto Detailing. This article contains links to prominent PDR tool vendors who were exhibiting at that event. While this is by no means a complete list of tool-makers and distributors, the companies listed are prominent suppliers to the professional trade.
